This is the first book I have read by this author.
I was originally drawn to this book by its intriguing cover and its hilarious sounding synopsis and title. The synopsis stated that this book is 'You won’t be able to take a break from Aimee Brown’s sexy, swoony, sultry romance. Perfect for all fans of Sariah Wilson, Lindsey Kelk and Abby Jiminez..' I am a huge fan of Lindsey Kelk so am looking forward to see if the book lives up to this statement! I must admit I was also biased due to the publisher being Boldwood Books. I have yet to read a book published by Boldwood that I haven't enjoyed. Hopefully this won't be the first... Watch this space! (Written before I started reading the book).
This novel consists of a prologue, 32 chapters and an epilogue. The chapters are short to medium in length so easy to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!
This book is written in first person perspective and the main protagonists are Mercy Alexander and Brooks Hudson. The benefits of books written in first person perspective with multiple protagonists are as long as they are well written it makes you feel that you are being spoken to by the protagonist and it can create more of a bond between yourselves and them.
What an absolutely gorgeous must read!!! Absolutely loved it fairplay!!! This book has fantastic descriptions that set you straight in the scenes. The cover, title and synopsis suit the storyline perfectly.
This book is very well written with vivid descriptions setting the picture perfectly in the readers mind. The title, description and cover works perfectly with the storyline. It is one of those books that are very easy to read and perfect for any reading situations whether you are laying on a beach or curled up in front of a fire. It is an absolutely ideal read for anyone who is looking for a fantastic feel good laugh out loud rom com. This is definitely one of those books that will turn a frown upside down and make life seem alot brighter. It is packed with fun, romance, friendship, laughter and everything you could ask for in a fantastic feel good book. Amie's evocative writing skills drew me deep into the book bringing the atmosphere and characters to life all around me. It is one of those books that I could not put down. I ended up walking around the house looking at my kindle reading away and absolutely devoured it in one sitting..
This may be the first book I have read by Aimee but I cannot wait to get hold of more books by this extremely talented author!!!
The characters were all an eclectic mix and each one of them were realistic and strong. I was completely invested in them all. I absolutely loved Mercy who had an excellent personality along with a fantastic support network around her. Brooks is an absolute dream boat and my type of guy!! Who can say no to a sexy single dad and especially one with ink? Surprisingly enough i actually liked his ex wife who made me laugh out loud in several occasions!! There is fantastic character development throughout the storyline and I loved watching each if the characters personalities grow along with their relationships changing and developing. These characters are definitely ones that I'm gutted are not real and I would love to meet them all again!! Hint, hint Aimee 😉

Overall an unputdownable, gorgeous book filled with friendship, laughter and love but with some serious moments due to the topic of addiction.
